Funny that you should say that...I've actually have had the opposite experience. When I have spoken to soliders that are serving they do ask to be kept in prayers. Mind you that I do where a cross around my neck and so they may feel comfortable to say that to me.

I "love" the original author's constent insinuation that if you don't agree with him point-by-point you are an America-hating commie who wants the troops to all die in a blazing holocaust in Iraq.

In my experience, most troops in Iraq, when asked "What can we do to support you?" (or some similar question) ask for one of two things:

1. Better armor.

2. To be brought home to friends and family.

There are a fair number of other, smaller things that would fall under entertainment (video games, music, electronics, books, whatever), but the above would be the top two.

Not once has someone asked me to "remember them in their prayers", or anything even close to that.
